When to replace the main oven inner glass
The inner glass is the panel you see when you open the door, and it faces the full heat of the cavity. Together with the outer glass and the air gap between them, it insulates the door and holds the heat in. Cracks usually start from a chip at the edge, a cold splash on hot glass or a tray knocked against it. A cracked pane can shatter when heated, lets the door front get hotter than normal and can slow cooking. Stop using the main oven until the glass is replaced.

Changing the inner door glass
Isolate the oven and let it cool. Remove the main oven door from its hinges and rest it face down on a folded blanket. Release the inner pane the way it is retained on your model, keeping track of any clips, spacers or seals. Wipe the new glass clean before fitting, as fingerprints bake on. Use cut-resistant gloves around broken glass and get a second person to help with the door.
