Product details

Part 573677P is the genuine Fisher & Paykel cooling fan for the OR90SDBGFX1 and OR90SLBGX1. It was previously supplied under the number 079025, which may appear on older parts lists. The fan pulls air through the space between the oven cavity and the outer panels, keeping the controls, wiring and door surround at a safe temperature while you cook and as the oven cools down.

Oven controls running hot or a noisy fan after cooking?

The cooling fan usually starts when the oven heats and keeps running after it is switched off until the inside has cooled. A worn bearing makes it rattle, grind or squeal, and a seized motor leaves it silent. Without cooling airflow, knobs and the fascia get hot to touch, warm air pushes out at the top of the door, and heat can damage switches, thermostats and wiring over time. Some ovens also cut out on an overheat thermostat when the fan stops, so the oven turns off mid cook.

Changing the cooling fan

Have a licensed electrician fit this if the cooker is hard-wired, and isolate power at the switchboard either way. Let the oven cool fully first. The fan is usually reached by removing the rear or top cover. Note the wiring and which way the fan faces before taking it out, fit the new fan the same way, and run the oven to check it spins up quietly.
