This genuine 8 position function selector switch, part 573632, replaces the old DeLonghi number 050028.1 and is now supplied as a Fisher & Paykel part. It suits a wide spread of DeLonghi and Kleenmaid ovens and cookers, including the DEFP907S, DE608M, DE60MPS, DMFPS60, DE906GWF and D61E. The switch has eight function settings plus an off position.
Oven functions not working on a DeLonghi or Kleenmaid oven
The selector switch sits behind the function knob and decides which elements, fan and lights run for each cooking mode. As the contacts inside burn or wear, the functions start to misbehave. Typical signs are one or more settings doing nothing, the wrong element heating, the oven only working with the knob held at a certain angle, or a burning smell from behind the control panel. Scorched or melted terminals on the back of the switch are another clear sign.

Wiring the new selector switch
Isolate the oven at the switchboard first. Label each wire or take clear photos of the old switch before removing anything. This newer switch needs a wire link fitted between pins 10 and 11, or it won't operate. Hard-wired ovens must be connected and tested by a licensed electrician.

Why won't my new switch work?
If everything else is connected correctly, check pins 10 and 11. This version of the switch needs those two pins looped together with a short link wire before it will operate. Your electrician should fit the link when wiring it in.
