Fisher & Paykel oven door not closing properly
Each hinge combines a pivot with a tensioned spring, and together they control how the door swings and how tightly it presses on the seal. Changing an oven hinge
Switch the oven off and let it cool. Open the door fully and engage the hinge locks before lifting it off, as the springs can snap shut with real force. Undo the hinge fixings at the oven frame, fit the new hinge in the same position and refit the door. Release the locks and close the door gently to check the alignment.
