Product details
Small but easy to lose, 563122 is the genuine Fisher & Paykel cavity nut listed for the 60C oven range. It is a fastener used inside the oven cavity, and it's the part to get when the original has gone missing during cleaning or a repair, or has seized or stripped. As no model list is on file, compare your old nut, and send us the model number through the parts enquiry form if you're unsure.
Lost or damaged oven cavity nut
Inside an oven, several parts are held in place by nuts that have to cope with high heat and repeated expansion. A cavity nut like this one secures a component to the inside of the cavity. Because it sits in the heat, it can seize, corrode or have its thread damaged, especially when it's undone for cleaning or to remove a panel. A missing nut can leave a panel, cover or support loose and rattling, and a hardware store substitute risks the wrong thread or a nut that won't handle oven temperatures.

Fitting tips
Turn the oven off and let it cool before reaching into the cavity. Clean any grease from the stud or thread, then run the new nut on by hand first so it doesn't cross-thread. Tighten it firmly but don't overdo it, as threads in the cavity can strip. If the stud itself is damaged, the nut alone won't fix the problem.
Questions about this part
Can I use a standard hardware nut instead?
It's not recommended. Nuts inside an oven cavity sit in high heat, and the genuine part is the one specified for that position, so the thread will match. A hardware nut may not fit properly or cope with the temperature.
