Turn the oven off at the wall and let it cool before working on it. Use a hex key that fits the socket snugly, as a sloppy key rounds out the drive quickly. Start the screw by hand so the thread doesn't cross, then nip it up firmly without forcing it. If the old screw is seized, a drop of penetrating oil and a short wait usually frees it.
