Replacing the roasting dish from your Fisher & Paykel oven

The deep dish is the oven's workhorse for roasts, bakes and anything that gives off juices or fat, and its depth keeps spills off the oven floor. Dishes go missing when people move house, warp after being plunged into cold water while hot, or lose their coating after years of scouring. A dish made for the oven fits its shelf positions properly and makes full use of the cavity width, which a generic supermarket tray often won't.

Using and caring for the dish

Wash the dish before its first use. Let it cool before soaking or rinsing, as a sudden temperature change can warp metal trays. Stick to non-abrasive cleaners and soft scourers to protect the coating, and don't cut food directly in the dish. Check your oven's manual for the shelf positions it recommends for the deep dish.
