This genuine Fisher & Paykel kit replaces the 2500W fan forced element in OB30 and OB76 series ovens. The kit number is 547680P, and the element is also known as 547680. Models on file include the OB30SDPTX1 and OB30SDPTDX2, the OB30DDPTDX1 and OB30DPPTX1, the OB30SD14PLX1 and the OB30SDPTB1. On the OB76 side there are the OB76SDPTX1 and OB76DDPTDX2, plus the OB76DPPTX1 and OB76SDPTDB1. Twenty model versions are listed in total.
Fan forced oven not heating? Check the fan element
The fan element is the round element wrapped around the fan at the back of the oven. The fan blows air across it and spreads heat evenly through the cavity on fan bake and similar functions. When it burns out, the fan still runs but the oven stays cold or barely warms on fan modes, while the top and bottom elements may still work on other settings. A blown element can also trip the RCD or safety switch the moment a fan function is selected. Look for a visible break or bubbling on the element.

Fitting the fan element
Isolate the oven at the switchboard before starting, and have a licensed electrician do the work if the oven is hard-wired. Remove the back panel inside the oven to reach the fan and element. The terminals are often reached from behind, so the oven may need to come out of the cabinet. Photograph the wiring before disconnecting it, and fit the new element so it sits evenly around the fan without touching the blade.
