Fisher & Paykel part 544326P is a genuine top grill element kit for the hinged style top element fitted to many OB60 ovens and some OR cookers. Models on file include the OB60B77CEW2 and OB60B77CEX3, the OB60BCEW2 and OB60BDEX3, the OB60DDEX4 and OB60SCEX4, plus the OB60SLEX1, the OB60SVMX5, the OR60SDBSX2 and the OR120DDWGFX2. Not every OB60 takes this kit, so read the fit check below before ordering.
Fisher & Paykel oven grill not heating?
The top element runs across the roof of the oven cavity and provides grill heat, as well as top heat for functions such as bake. When it fails, the grill stays cold, toast and gratins won't brown, and baked food comes out pale on top while the base cooks. You may see a visible break, blistering or a burnt spot on the element sheath, or the oven may trip the safety switch when grill is selected. A failed thermostat or selector switch can produce similar symptoms, so test the element for continuity if you can.

Check fit, then fit safely
Before ordering, record the full model number and the product code from the oven's rating label, as this kit does not suit every OB model. Built-in ovens are usually hard-wired, so a licensed electrician should isolate the circuit and carry out the swap. Photograph the terminal connections before anything is disconnected. Run the grill for a few minutes afterwards, as a light smoky smell is normal the first time a new element heats.
