Swapping the dial
Make sure every control is off and the cooktop is cool. Pull the old dial straight up off its spindle, without levering against the glass or surface. Line up the flat on the spindle with the new dial and press it on firmly. Turn it through its full range to check it moves the control smoothly and returns to off.
