Trivets are the pan supports that sit over the burners and hold your pots steady above the flame. This is the standard trivet, not the wok trivet, which is a separate part. Check your cooktop's model number, or compare the shape, feet and size of your old trivet, before ordering.

When to replace a cooktop trivet

Trivets take a beating. They're heated and cooled every day, knocked by heavy pans and scrubbed hard. Over time the coating can chip and rust, fingers can bend or break, and the rubber feet can wear away so the trivet scratches the cooktop or rocks under a pot. A trivet that sits unevenly is a safety issue, because a pan can tip. Replacing a damaged one restores a stable, level surface for cooking.

Part details

Genuine Fisher & Paykel part 533918

Standard trivet assembly

GF gas cooktop parts range

Separate from the wok trivet

Type

Standard trivet

Fitting the trivet

Let the cooktop cool fully before handling trivets.
