Product details

Burners that click but won't light, or a single burner with no spark, often come down to a faulty electrode. Part 533145 is the genuine Fisher & Paykel ignition electrode used on CG604 and CG905 gas cooktops, the OR60, OR90 and OR120 freestanding cookers, and the GC905DWFCX1 and DEGH60. Compare the lead length on your old electrode before ordering, as these parts come in different lengths.

Fisher & Paykel gas burner not sparking or lighting?

The electrode sits beside the burner and receives a high voltage pulse from the ignition module when you push and turn the knob. That pulse jumps from the electrode tip to the burner as a spark and lights the gas. A cracked ceramic body, a tip that has been knocked out of position or a damaged lead will send the spark to the wrong place or nowhere at all. You may hear clicking with no flame, see sparks under the cooktop, or find one burner slow to catch.

Part details

  • Genuine Fisher & Paykel part 533145
  • Spark ignition electrode with lead
  • Listed for CG604 and CG905 gas cooktops
  • Also listed for OR60, OR90 and OR120 freestanding cookers

Replacing a burner electrode

Turn off the gas supply and switch the appliance off at the wall before starting. A licensed gas fitter should carry out any work that disturbs gas fittings. Lift off the burner caps and trivets, then photograph how the lead runs back to the ignition module. Fit the new electrode at the same height and position, keep the lead away from hot or sharp edges, then test each burner.

Questions about this part

Where is the model number on my Fisher & Paykel?

On gas cooktops the data label is often under the cooktop, visible from the cupboard below. Freestanding cookers usually have it inside the storage drawer or door frame. Match it against models such as CG604CWX2 or OR90SCBGX1, or send it through the parts enquiry form.
