When a longer washing machine drain hose helps
The drain hose carries waste water from the machine's pump to the laundry tub, standpipe or drain point. Hoses get replaced for a few common reasons. Fitting the drain hose
Turn the washer off at the wall and turn off both taps. Keep a bucket and towel handy, as water usually sits in the old hose. Compare the hose ends with the outlet on your machine before removing the original. Secure the new hose at the machine end with a suitable clamp, hook the outlet end firmly over the tub or into the standpipe and avoid sharp bends. Run a rinse cycle and check for leaks.
