Lint on clothes after washing? Check the lint filter
In these LG top loaders, the lint filter catches fluff, hair and threads that come loose during the wash so they're not redeposited on your clothes. It mounts inside the wash tub and needs to be emptied regularly. When the filter is cracked, its mesh is torn or it's missing, lint ends up stuck to dark clothing and towels, and more debris can make its way toward the drain system. A filter that won't stay clipped in can also come loose and rattle around during the wash.

Fitting the lint filter
Switch the washer off before reaching into the tub. Unclip the old filter, noting which way it faces and how the catch engages. Line the new filter up in the same position and press until it clicks home. Rinse the filter out regularly so water can flow through it freely.

Check it after every wash, especially after towels or new clothes. Empty the lint and rinse the mesh under the tap. A clogged filter can't catch lint properly, so regular cleaning keeps it doing its job.
