Symptoms of a faulty inlet valve in an LG washer dryer
This electrically operated valve opens when the controller energises it and closes again when power is cut. Over time the coils can fail electrically, and the rubber parts inside can harden or let grit hold them open. That shows up as an empty drum when it should be filling, a fill error, detergent left sitting in the drawer, or water slowly entering the drum while the machine is idle. Swapping the inlet valve on a washer dryer
Pull the plug, shut off the water and drain the inlet hose into a bucket. Remove the top cover to reach the valve. Mark each hose and plug with masking tape so they go back on the same outlet and coil, then transfer them to the new valve one at a time. Reconnect the supply, open the tap and run a rinse to confirm there are no leaks.
