A flap valve is a simple one way valve that lets water flow in one direction and closes against it in the other. Its O-ring seals the valve into its housing. When the rubber hardens, flattens or splits, water can seep past, which may show as drips under the drawer, water left sitting in the drawer, or dirty water returning where it shouldn't. Fitting the O-ring kit
Turn the DishDrawer off at the wall and turn off the water before you start. Clean the valve seat and housing thoroughly, removing grit, scale and old detergent. Wetting the O-ring with a little water helps it slide into place without twisting. Reassemble the valve, run a rinse and check underneath for drips.
