Product details
LG washing machines that list 5220FR2067J take this genuine LG water inlet valve, which runs on 12V. Low voltage valves like this are driven by the main board and can't be swapped for a mains voltage valve. LG also sells several 5220FR2067 variants that differ only in the final letter, so check the full number, including the J, before ordering.
Washer won't fill or water trickles in when it's off
The inlet valve is the gatekeeper between your tap and the washer. When the control board energises the 12V coil, the valve opens and water flows into the dispenser and drum, and when power is removed the valve should snap shut. A burnt out coil, a torn diaphragm or a clogged inlet screen can cause no fill, a slow fill and a water supply error, while a valve that fails to close may let water creep into the drum overnight.

Fitting the new inlet valve
Close the tap, switch off at the wall and disconnect the inlet hose. Take off the panel that gives access to the valve, then photograph which hose goes to which outlet and where the wiring plugs sit. Move the connections across to the new valve one by one, secure the hose clamps, and open the tap gently. Watch for leaks during the first fill.
Questions about this part
Is 5220FR2067J the same as 5220FR2067R or 5220FR2067S?
Not necessarily. LG uses the final letter to separate valve versions, which can differ in outlets or fittings. Order the exact number on your parts list or printed on the old valve, and ask us through the parts enquiry form if they differ.
