LG dishwasher not filling or showing a leak error

The Aquastop hose has an electrically operated valve at the tap end, rated 220-240V. When the dishwasher calls for water the valve opens, and if the inner hose splits, the outer sleeve contains the leak while the safety system shuts the water off. When the valve coil fails or a leak has been detected, the machine won't fill. You might see an inlet or leak error on the display, hear the dishwasher hum without water arriving, or find a damp outer sleeve. Because the valve is built into the hose, the whole assembly is replaced as one.

Replacing the Aquastop hose

Switch the dishwasher off at the wall and close the tap. The hose's electrical connection is inside the dishwasher, usually reached by removing the kickplate or a side panel. Unplug the old hose's wiring, unscrew it from the tap and the inlet, and fit the new one the same way. Open the tap slowly and check for leaks before restoring power.
