Part 512851 is the genuine Fisher & Paykel integrated kickstrip kit for the DD60DI9 integrated double DishDrawer. The kickstrip closes off the gap under the drawers at floor level, finishing the installation neatly and keeping the space under the dishwasher covered.
Replacing a damaged DishDrawer kickstrip
On an integrated DishDrawer the cabinetry panels cover the drawer fronts, and the kickstrip finishes off the base so it lines up with the rest of the kitchen. It also stops dust, toys and mop strings from disappearing under the dishwasher. Kickstrips get scuffed by feet and vacuum heads, cracked when the dishwasher is pulled out for service, or lost during a renovation. A new one is a simple way to tidy up the installation.

Fitting the kickstrip
Turn the dishwasher off at the wall if you need to work close to the base. Remove the old kickstrip, noting how its fixings line up with the cabinet. Fit the new kit so it sits evenly with the kitchen plinth, then open both drawers fully to make sure nothing catches.
