We've listed it under rangehoods, where halogen light fittings that swing down or open on a hinge for globe changes are common. Electrolux doesn't give a model list with it, so match the number to the part you're replacing or to your hood's parts list before ordering.

Rangehood halogen light hanging loose? Replace the hinge support

The hinge support holds the halogen light housing in place and lets it pivot open for a globe change. Heat from halogen globes can make nearby plastic parts brittle over years of use, so supports like this can crack or snap. When that happens the light can hang down, sit crooked, flicker because the globe isn't held firmly, or drop out when you open it. Replacing the support puts the light back in its proper position and takes strain off the wiring behind it.

Part details

Genuine Electrolux part 50283675002

Hinge support for a halogen lamp fitting

Listed for Electrolux group rangehoods

Model fit not confirmed, check the old part

Fitting the lamp hinge support

Turn the rangehood off, isolate power at the wall or switchboard, and let any halogen globes cool fully before touching them. Hard-wired hoods need a licensed electrician. Note how the lamp housing sits in the old support before removing it. Fit the new support, refit the housing, and check it opens and closes without pulling on the wires.

Questions about this part

Does this come with a halogen globe?

No. This listing is for the hinge support only.
