Signs an LG top loader suspension rod has worn out
A top load washer's tub hangs from suspension rods near each corner of the cabinet. Each rod has a spring and a damper that let the tub move a little, then pull it back to centre. Once a rod weakens, the tub sits lower or leans to one side, and the machine starts banging against the cabinet in spin, walking across the floor or stopping with an unbalanced load error. You may also notice the tub sitting off centre when the lid is open. Weak rods usually show up first during the high speed part of the cycle.
