The drive belt wraps around the outside of the drum and over a small pulley on the motor shaft, held tight by a tension wheel. Fitting a new dryer belt

Switch off at the wall and unplug the dryer. Depending on the model, access is through the top, front or rear panel. Loop the new belt around the drum with its ribs facing the same way as the old belt, following the track it left. Route it around the tension wheel and over the motor pulley as your service information shows, then turn the drum by hand to check the belt runs straight before closing up.
