The SmartPump empties the bowl at the end of each wash and rinse, pushing water up the drain hose and into the tub or standpipe. Fitting the SmartPump

Switch off at the power point, unplug the machine and close both taps. Bail out any water left in the bowl, then tilt the washer back or lay it on a blanket to reach the pump underneath. Photograph the hose and wiring connections, remove the four mounting screws and lift the old pump out. Fit the new one, tighten the screws evenly, reconnect everything and run a drain to check for leaks.
