LG outdoor unit fan not spinning
The outdoor fan pulls air through the condenser coil to get rid of heat in cooling mode, and to pick up heat in heating mode. When the motor fails, the outdoor unit can't move enough air, pressures climb and the system shuts down to protect itself, often showing an error code on the controller. Signs include a fan that won't spin, spins slowly or stops and starts, a noisy or wobbling motor, and cooling or heating that gets worse on very hot or cold days. With power isolated, check the blade turns freely by hand before condemning the motor.
