LG makes several stators under the 4417EA1002 base number with different suffix letters, so check your model's parts list for the exact F version before ordering. LG washing machine stator faults
The stator's copper windings create the magnetic field that spins the rotor and drum. If a winding burns out, a coil shorts or the stator's mounting lugs crack, the motor can't turn the drum properly. Owners usually see the drum refuse to spin or turn only weakly, a motor error such as LE on the display, loud grinding or clunking, or a burnt smell from the back. Rotor magnets and the position sensor should also be checked, as they can cause similar faults.

Replacing the stator
Turn the washer off at the wall and turn off the taps. Remove the rear or lower panel, depending on the model, take out the rotor bolt and pull the rotor off, then unbolt the stator and unplug its connectors. Inspect the plugs and wiring loom for damage. Fit the new stator with its bolts tightened evenly, refit the rotor and run a spin test before closing the machine up.
