Genuine LG part 4400EL1001C is a poly V drive belt from LG's dryer belt range. The ribbed belt wraps around the drum and the motor pulley to turn the drum while the dryer runs. LG has several belts in the same 4400EL family with different suffix letters, and they are not all the same size, so the letter matters. Read the code printed on your old belt or check your dryer's model number with us before ordering.
LG dryer drum not turning?
If the motor hums or runs but the drum stays still, a broken or stretched belt is the first thing to check. Other signs are a drum that turns slowly or stops under a full load, a squeal at start-up, a slapping noise from the cabinet, or a burning rubber smell. Belts crack and stretch with age and heat. While the dryer is open, also check the idler pulley and drum rollers, because a seized pulley or worn roller can wear a new belt out quickly.

Changing an LG dryer belt
Unplug the dryer before you open it. Getting to the belt usually means removing the top and front panels, so take photos as you go. Note which side of the old belt faced the drum and fit the new one the same way. Thread it over the idler pulley and onto the motor pulley, then turn the drum by hand a few times to check the belt runs straight before the panels go back on.
