Fisher & Paykel washer dead, beeping or not spinning
This module runs the whole wash, reading the controls and sensors and driving the motor, pump and valves. When it fails, the machine may be completely dead, beep and flash an error, stop partway through a cycle, or fill and then refuse to agitate or spin. Moisture, power surges and failed motor windings are common causes, so a new board can fail again if the root problem is still there. Have the motor stator and wiring checked, and look for water tracking into the control area before fitting the replacement.

Fitting the motor controller
Unplug the washer and wait a few minutes for any stored charge to drain. Photograph all plugs before removing the old module, and check the motor stator and wiring for damage while it is out. Handle the new board by its edges. Once it is fitted, run a short cycle and watch for errors through fill, agitate, drain and spin.
