This is the genuine Fisher & Paykel drain pump, part number 430144, which replaced the earlier 420324P. It's a 230V pump for SmartDrive top load washers, with listed models running from the smaller WA55T56G to the WA80T65G, plus GW series machines up to the GW712. If your F&P is leaving water in the bowl or stopping before the spin, the drain pump is a common culprit.
Fisher & Paykel washer not draining? Check the pump
In a SmartDrive machine, the drain pump empties the bowl after each wash and rinse. Lint, coins, hair ties and small socks can jam the impeller, and the motor itself can eventually burn out. The usual signs are water sitting in the bowl at the end of a cycle, a buzzing noise with no water moving, or the machine stopping with a drain fault. If clearing the pump and drain hose doesn't help, the pump has most likely failed and 430144 is the replacement.

Fitting the new 430144 pump
Unplug the washer and turn off the taps first. Bail or drain out as much water as you can, because the bowl and hoses will still hold some. Take a photo of the wiring and hose positions, swap the pump over, and check the hose clamps are tight. Run a short rinse and spin, then look underneath for drips before pushing the machine back.

Will this pump fit a WL series or Gentle Annie?
No. This pump is not listed for WL series machines, Gentle Annie models or the GW52U. It suits SmartDrive machines such as the WA70T60G and the GW series up to the GW712, so check the model label on your washer first.
