Fisher & Paykel top loader not filling or wrong water temperature

The dual valve has separate hot and cold solenoids that open to let water into the tub, plus a sensor in the valve body that the controller reads during filling. If a solenoid fails or the inlet screens block, the machine fills slowly, fills only hot or only cold, or stops with a water supply fault. A valve that won't close fully lets water trickle in even when the machine is off. A sensor fault can show up as a temperature or fill error. Installing the inlet valve

Turn off both taps and unplug the machine. Disconnect the inlet hoses at the back, then lift the lid or top deck to reach the valve. Photograph the wiring and sensor plug, unclip the hoses that run to the tub, and remove the mounting screws. Fit the new valve, reconnect everything as photographed, then turn the taps on slowly and check for leaks during a fill.
