Fisher & Paykel washer not draining or spinning
The drain pump pushes used wash and rinse water out through the outlet hose. If it fails, the machine stalls with water in the bowl, shows a drain fault or won't move on to spin. A pump that hums without moving water often has a jammed impeller, usually caused by a coin, hair clip or scrap of fabric. A cracked pump housing can also leave water under the machine. If clearing a blockage doesn't bring the flow back, the pump itself has worn out.

Swapping the drain pump
Unplug the washer and turn off both taps. Bail or drain out any water left in the bowl, and keep towels handy, as the pump and hoses will still hold some. Photograph the wiring and hose positions before removing anything. Fit the new pump, secure the hose clamps and run a short rinse and spin to check for leaks.
