On a Fisher & Paykel top loader, the neck ring is the moulded rim fitted to the top of the outer bowl. It shapes the opening you load through, deflects water back into the bowl during agitation and spin, and keeps garments from creeping over the top. Fitting the 60 neck ring

Before starting, switch off at the wall and close both taps. Lift the top deck carefully, keeping strain off the wiring and hoses. Release the old neck ring clip by clip, wipe the bowl rim clean, then press the new ring on evenly so it's fully seated all the way round. Put the deck back and run a short wash, checking under the machine for drips.
