Water on the floor only when your F&P washer is filling?

On every fill, mains water leaves the inlet valve and travels through this elbow to the spray nozzle that sends it into the bowl. Hose parts in the fill path harden with age, and a split elbow, or a nozzle that has popped out of it, will leak every time the machine takes on water. Look for water on the floor that only appears while the washer is filling, drips from under the top deck, damp streaks down the cabinet, or water spraying about instead of pouring cleanly into the bowl.

Replacing the inlet elbow

Turn off both taps and unplug the washer. Open the top deck to reach the fill area and note which way the elbow points before you remove it. Pull the spray nozzle out of the old elbow and push it firmly into the new one. Refit, turn the taps back on and run a fill, watching the elbow and nozzle for any seepage.
