When to replace a washing machine or dishwasher inlet hose
The inlet hose carries mains water from the tap to the appliance's inlet valve, so it lives under pressure whenever the tap is on. Rubber hardens over time, and a hose that is bulging, cracked, kinked or weeping at the couplings is a flood waiting to happen. A slow fill or a water supply error can also start at the hose if it's kinked behind the machine or a washer has perished. The 2m length suits setups where the tap sits further from the machine than a standard hose allows, so you don't have to join two hoses together.

Fitting the longer hose
Turn the tap off and unplug the appliance. Undo the old hose and check that the rubber washers are seated inside each coupling of the new one. Screw it onto the tap and the inlet by hand, then nip it up firmly without crushing the washer. Route it so it can't kink when the machine is pushed back, open the tap and check for drips.
