Part 411087 is an OEM oven door seal made to suit La Germania ovens. The fit list runs to 54 models, with the AM96C61BX near the top, alongside the EX96C61X, the TU96C61BX and the EX95C61X. It also covers a number of PRO906, LUE and LUEP series units. As an aftermarket seal built to the original specification, it takes the place of the 411087 gasket in those ovens.
Signs your La Germania oven door seal needs replacing
The seal fits around the oven opening and closes the gap between the cavity and the inner door glass. It keeps heat and steam in, so the oven comes up to temperature quickly and the controls and cabinetry around it stay cooler. A worn seal goes hard, flattens, frays or tears, and sections can pull away from the frame. You may see steam or smoke escaping at the door edges, feel heat around the top of the door, notice longer cooking times or find the knobs getting hot to touch.

Fitting the new door seal
Make sure the oven is off and completely cold. Taking the door off its hinges gives far better access. Note how the old seal is held, usually by hooks or clips at intervals, and start the new one at the top centre, working evenly around so the join ends up where the old one was. Run the oven empty on a moderate setting to let it settle.
