Over time those pores fill up, and the filter stops absorbing smells even though it may look clean. Signs it's due include smells lingering longer than usual, odours spreading between foods or around the room, and a filter that's well past its suggested replacement interval. Filters exposed to moisture or grease tend to lose their effect sooner, so check yours more often in those conditions.

Part details

Genuine Electrolux part 4056021340

Carbon air filter for odour control

For Electrolux group appliances

Changing the filter

Turn the appliance off before removing the old filter.
