This assembly carries the control electronics that manage the compressor, fans and other loads. A sister assembly, 4056015219, has the same description, so take care to match the exact number. With no models on file, the label on your existing control box is the best check.

Signs of a failed air conditioner control box

When the control electronics fail, an air conditioner may show no lights at all, refuse to respond to the remote, flash an error code, or run one part while another stays off, such as the fan running with no cooling. Power surges, storms, rodents and moisture getting into the unit are frequent causes. A burning smell or scorch marks on the box point strongly to an electrical failure. Because other faults produce similar codes, a technician should test the sensors, wiring and outdoor unit before condemning the control box.

Part details

Genuine Electrolux part 4056015227

Electronic control box assembly

Sister number 4056015219 is a separate part

Check the label on the old control box

Safe replacement

Air conditioners run on hard-wired mains power. Turn off the circuit at the switchboard and the isolator before opening any cover, and allow time for stored charge in the electronics to drain. In Australia, the control box should be replaced by a licensed electrician or air conditioning technician, who can reconnect the wiring correctly and run a full system test.

Questions about this part

Can you tell me which air conditioner this suits?

Models are not on file for 4056015227 yet.
