Fitting a universal knob
Turn the appliance off at the wall, and at the gas isolation valve on gas models, before working near the controls. Pull the old knob straight off the shaft. Check the new knob suits your shaft profile, then push it on firmly. Because a universal knob may not carry the same markings as the original, confirm the off position before you use the appliance again.
