This genuine Electrolux rubber door bellow, part 4055984241, suits EWF series front loaders including the EWF1083 and EWF1090, the EWF1092 and EWF1282, and the EWF1481 and EWF1495. Electrolux front loader leaking from the door? Check the bellow
The bellow is the thick rubber boot that links the front of the cabinet to the outer tub and seals against the door glass. It flexes every time the drum moves, so over the years the rubber can split in the folds, perish, or tear where coins and bra wires catch it. Common signs are water dripping from the front lip, damp patches under the machine, black mould that won't clean off, and a musty smell that lingers in clean washing. Check the lower folds closely, as that's where splits usually hide.

Fitting the door bellow
Unplug the machine and turn off both taps. Release the outer fixing at the front, peel the bellow from the cabinet lip, then remove the inner clamp that holds it to the tub. Note how the old seal sits and fit the new one the same way round, seating it evenly all the way around the tub. Refit the clips and clamp, run a rinse with no load and check below the door for drips.
