The frame holds the filter in position so the flow passes through the filter instead of around it. No model list is on file for this kit, so match either number against your parts list or the old frame before ordering.

Broken filter frame in your washing machine?

A filter only works when it's held firmly in place. The frame provides that support, keeping the mesh taut and sealed against its housing so lint, fluff and debris are caught instead of slipping past. Plastic frames turn brittle with age and detergent, and they often crack or lose their clips when the filter is pulled out for cleaning. A damaged frame can let debris through to the pump or hoses, rattle during the wash, or stop the filter clipping back in at all. A new frame costs far less than a blocked pump.

Part details

Genuine Electrolux part number 4055984167

Old number 119408421K

Filter frame supplied as an assembly kit

Fitting the new frame

Unplug the washer and turn off the taps before reaching inside.
