Replacing a blown rangehood globe

Changing the globe

Switch the rangehood off at the wall and let the old globe cool completely, as they get very hot. Remove the light cover or filter if needed. Unscrew the old globe anticlockwise and screw the new one in until snug. Handle it with a clean cloth to keep skin oils off the glass, then refit the cover and test.
