Part 4055942421 is the genuine 1715mm door seal used across a big range of Dishlex, Westinghouse and Simpson dishwashers. Made from black Santoprene, it runs around the tub opening and seals against the closed door. Over 200 models are on file, including Dishlex DX100, DX300 and DX302 machines, the DX403 and DX450, plus the SB907, EX302 and 52B850 series. It's also known as 0208400158G.
Dishwasher leaking from the door? Check the seal
During a wash, water is sprayed hard against the inside of the door, and this seal is what keeps it inside the tub. With age, heat and detergent, the seal flattens, hardens or splits, and food scraps caught in it can hold it away from the door. The usual signs are water on the floor in front of the dishwasher, drips from the bottom corners of the door, steam escaping along the edges, or a seal that's come loose and hangs out of its channel.

Fitting the new door seal
Switch the dishwasher off at the wall. Pull the old seal out of its channel and clean the channel thoroughly, as grease and food left behind can stop the new seal sitting properly. Starting at one bottom corner, press the new seal in gradually along the channel, without stretching it, until you reach the other corner. Run a rinse program and look for drips.
