Switch the rangehood off at the wall or the circuit breaker before taking anything apart. Remove the grease filters, then the panel or cover that holds the keypad, and photograph the ribbon or plug connection before unclipping it. Press the new keypad's connector fully home and refit the cover. Hard-wired rangehoods should be handled by a licensed electrician.
