When to replace a gas injector
A clean injector of the right size gives a steady, mostly blue flame. Injectors are swapped when converting an appliance between natural gas and LPG, when one has been damaged, or when it is blocked by spilt food or debris. A blocked or wrong-sized injector shows up as a weak or yellow flame, a burner that will not stay lit, sooting on pans, or a flame that lifts off the burner.
