Appliance light not working?
Appliance globes fail in the usual way, with a broken filament or darkened glass, but a light that stays off isn't always the globe. Before replacing it, check whether the light comes on when the door opens or the switch is pressed, and look for a sticking door switch or loose connection. If the old globe shows a broken filament or blackening, swap it for one with the same base, wattage and voltage. Fitting a higher wattage than specified can overheat the lamp holder and the plastic cover around it.

Changing the globe
Switch the appliance off at the wall and let the old globe cool if it has been on. Remove the light cover, then unscrew the globe anticlockwise. Screw the new 15W globe in firmly but gently, refit the cover so it sits properly, and restore power to test it.

Can I use this globe in my oven?
Only if your oven's manual or parts list calls for 4055921532. Oven lights run very hot and need a globe rated for that heat, and this lamp's description doesn't include a temperature rating. For other appliances, match the 15W rating, 240V and E14 base to your old globe.
