Part 4055918868 is a genuine multifunction selector switch, the switch that decides which oven function and which elements come on. It cross references to 42.09000.014 and ET481733, and it's listed for Westinghouse and Euromaid fitments with models such as the EM90SS and ECR90S, the DSK965SNG and BA2850SS, and the LUC900SS. One important exception: it is not suitable for Nobel ovens, as the shaft is too short for them.
Oven only working on some functions? The selector switch may be at fault
Turning the function knob rotates this switch, which connects the right combination of elements, fan and light for bake, grill, fan forced and the other settings. Inside are sets of contacts that wear and pit with use and heat. A failing switch can leave the oven dead on one or more functions, bring on the wrong element, make the light or fan cut in and out, or need the knob jiggled before anything happens. Scorched or melted terminals on the back of the switch are a clear sign it needs replacing.

Replacing the oven function switch
Built-in ovens are normally hard-wired, so the switch should be replaced by a licensed electrician with the power isolated at the switchboard. Before removing the old switch, label or photograph every wire against its terminal, as these switches have many connections and the order matters. Check the shaft length and flat suit your knob, then test every function once the oven is back together.
