Product details
4055918561 is a universal fan forced oven motor kit, Series 3, supplied as a genuine Electrolux spare. The kit comes with two different style fan blades, a shield and a nut, so it can be set up to suit a wide spread of ovens. Brands it's made to suit include Chef, Simpson, Westinghouse, Electrolux, Fisher & Paykel, Smeg, Omega, Technika, Baumatic, Kleenmaid and Damani, plus St George, Vulcan and Everhot.
Oven fan noisy or not spinning? Signs of a failing fan motor
The fan motor sits behind the back wall of the oven and drives the blade that circulates hot air past the fan forced element. When its bearings start to wear, you'll often hear a growl, squeal or rattle that comes and goes as the oven heats up. A motor that has seized or burnt out leaves the fan still, so fan forced cooking turns patchy, the back of the oven runs hotter than the front, or the oven's thermal cut-out may trip. Turning the blade by hand with the power off is a quick check, as a stiff or gritty feel points to the motor.

Fitting a universal oven fan motor
Isolate the oven at the switchboard, and if it's hard-wired, have a licensed electrician carry out the work. Remove the fan cover and blade, photograph the wiring, then unbolt the old motor from the back of the oven. Choose the blade that matches the original, fit the shield and secure it with the nut supplied. Spin it by hand to check it clears everything before testing on fan forced.
Questions about this part
Which blade should I use?
The kit includes two blade styles. Compare them with the blade on your old motor and fit the one that matches its size and shape, so the airflow and the clearance behind the fan cover stay the same.
Will this suit Kleenmaid ovens?
Kleenmaid Scala series ovens, Kleenmaid steam ovens and other Kleenmaid models are on the list this kit is made to suit. Compare the mounting and shaft with your old motor to be sure.
