The element is the round heater that sits behind the fan cover at the back of the oven. Check the shape and mounting of your old element against the photo before ordering 4055918082.
Chef or Fisher & Paykel oven not heating on fan forced?
On fan forced settings, the fan draws air over this circular element and blows the heat back into the oven so every shelf cooks evenly. Once it fails, you'll usually find the oven won't get hot on fan forced while the grill still works. Cakes that come out undercooked, very long preheat times and a safety switch that trips when fan forced is selected are other common clues. A burnt spot, crack or swelling on the element is a sure sign. If the element looks fine, test it for continuity and make sure the fan is actually spinning.

Replacing the oven fan element
Turn the oven off at the switchboard. A hard-wired oven should be handled by a licensed electrician. Pull out the racks, remove the fan cover screws and lift the cover away. Label or photograph the two wires, undo the element mounting screws and draw it forward. Fit the new element, reconnect it, refit the cover and test the oven on fan forced.
