Smeg or Blanco oven not heating on fan forced?
The fan forced element is the ring heater wrapped around the fan at the back of the oven. The fan blows air across it and pushes the heat evenly through the cavity. When the element fails, fan forced cooking stops working while other functions, such as the grill or the top and bottom elements, may still heat. Other signs are an oven that takes ages to reach temperature, food that stays pale, or the safety switch tripping when you select fan forced. Replacing the fan forced element
Switch the oven off and isolate it at the switchboard. If it's hard-wired, have a licensed electrician do the job. Remove the racks and the rear fan cover, take a photo of the wiring and unscrew the old element. Fit the new one, put each wire back on the same terminal, refit the cover and run the oven on fan forced to check it heats.
