Cracked oven door glass? What this panel replaces
The inner panel is the side of the door that faces into the oven. Its glass takes the full cooking heat and holds it in, while the hinges carry the weight of the door. Glass can crack from a knock, a cold splash or long term stress, and once cracked it should be replaced before it fails completely. Worn hinges make the door sag, close unevenly or spring open, letting heat escape so the oven cooks slowly and the front gets hot. Because this kit brings the panel, glass and hinges together, it suits a repair where more than one of these is damaged.

Fitting the inner door panel
Ovens are usually hard-wired, so switch off at the isolating switch or switchboard before you start. Let the oven cool fully, then open the door and remove it following your manual. Glass is heavy and fragile, so work on a padded bench with help on hand. Depending on your model and product number (PNC), the door may need other parts as well, so check before taking the old door apart.

Can I buy just the hinges?
If the glass is fine and only the hinges are worn, the hinges have their own part number, 0045001065, and are fitted with silicone sealant 0393001065. This kit is for jobs where the inner panel or glass needs replacing as well.
Will this panel fit my oven?
Check the model and product number (PNC) on the rating plate, usually visible on the frame when the door is open. Some models need extra door parts on top of this panel, so send both numbers through the parts enquiry form if you'd like it confirmed.
