Rangehood not extracting or motor humming

The motor drives the fan that pulls cooking fumes through the grease filters and out through the duct or recirculation path. Changing the rangehood motor

Turn the rangehood off and unplug it or isolate it at the switchboard. Remove the grease filters and any cover panels to reach the motor housing. Photograph the wiring and note the capacitor connections before disconnecting anything. If the new motor comes without a fan wheel fitted, transfer the old one across, then secure the motor so it can't vibrate. Have a licensed electrician do the work on a hard-wired hood.
